Wild About Omaha

What is this?
Mutual of Omaha is celebrating their 100th anniversary on July 24-25. Events are taking place all over the city. Our event is in conjunction with Film Streams and includes screenings of classic concert films, live music and a dance party on Friday, July 24.

What time does it start?
Film Streams will be showing concert films beginning at 5pm. Entry to the show will also begin at 5pm. Bands will start promptly at 7pm.

Where is this taking place?
Behind Slowdown in what you probably call our parking lot. This means you will not be able to park where you usually do. Plan to arrive early as you may need to walk a little. Or even better, ride on the free shuttle that Mutual of Omaha is providing.

Who is playing?
Flowers Forever will take the stage at 7pm, followed by Azure Ray and then Cursive. This portion of the evening will be over by 11pm.

Do I need a ticket?
No. This is a free event and no tickets will be issued. Please be aware that entrance to the event is first come, first served, and it is possible we may reach capacity.

What are the age limits?
You must be at least 18 with a valid government issued ID to enter the concert area. In order to drink alcohol, you must be 21. The dance party from 11pm to 1am will be inside Slowdown, and this is for those 21+ only.

What can I bring?
The rules for a show outside Slowdown are the same as a show inside. Bring yourself, your ID, some money, maybe even a camera to capture some memories. But please leave anything else at home or in your car.

What will be there?
A big stage that a big truck will deliver to us. Bars selling both kinds of drinks: alcohol and non-alcohol. A couple of beer trucks. Some local restaurants selling food (pizza, bbq, sandwiches, etc). Our neighbors (American Apparel, BBB Skateshop, Saddle Creek Records, Urban Outfitters) having a yard sale of sorts. Some tents. Some chairs (but not very many). And all of your friends.
