The December shows with Gus & Call continue on Thursday, with this one featuring Capgun Coup and Sun Settings as the openers. The first one was great, and the rest will surely be as well. It’s that time of year again and we actually have a couple of deals for you!

The fabulous Gus & Call will be playing 5 shows here in December, the first of which is on Thursday and celebrates the release of their brand new CD. And all of which have great lineups from beginning to end. So we have a special $20 deal that will get you into all 5 of the shows and send you home with a copy of the CD. A steal! Gus & Call & December

We just announced a December residency with one of our favorite Omaha bands, Gus & Call. The young lads will be playing 5 shows, one for each Thursday in December. The band also picked the openers for each night, and there are a ton of great bands. Head over to the events page and check out all of the lineups!

In the meantime, another busy week for us. Starts with $2 Pints tonight, then Science Cafe/Pub Quiz on Tuesday, OK Party Comedy on Wednesday, and many great shows for the rest of the week. Check out the full list to the right, and we’ll see you soon!

Quite A Run

We are at the beginning of a pretty great run of shows. Mason Jennings, Goth Ball 2011, Maria Taylor/Big Harp, Cold War Kids, They Might Be Giants, Real Estate, Zoso, and Thin Lizzy in the span of 10 days? Wow. It’s going to be a lot of fun around here. Advance tickets are always a good idea, of course. But we’ll say they are an especially good idea for Cold War Kids and They Might Be Giants. Ye hath been warned.

Jam Packed Rest Of The Week

Pedal steel virtuoso Robert Randolph hits the Main Room tonight. Soul, funk, good times. This will be a great night of music and definitely not one to miss!

Thursday night we have the much anticipated benefit for Hear Nebraska, Take Cover. The night will feature all sorts of musicians and bands from Nebraska covering songs from all sorts of musicians and bands from Nebraska. For a current list of those scheduled to play, check out the event page for the show. And be sure to note the early 8pm start for the show. Don’t miss any of the action…

Another fun show in store on Friday when Yuppies celebrate the release of their brand new 12″. Hominoid and Gus & Call open up, so once again, get here early!

And then Saturday features the old Football and rock show double feature. NU takes on Minnnesota at 2pm, and we’ll have some free food, drink specials and Happy Hour from 4-7, and of course some football on the bigger than big screen! Then at 9pm, we rock the week to a close with Anniversaire, Flight Metaphor, and Orphan’s Cry.

Excited to welcome OK Party Comedy back for another local alternative comedy showcase tonight. Really good and funny time last month and this one should be the same. Come on down and laugh your face off.

Then tomorrow we welcome Men to the Front Room. Men is the other band from Le Tigre’s JD Samson, joined by Ladybug Transistor’s Michael O’Neill and Ginger Brooks Takahashi. The Show Is The Rainbow and Millions Of Boys open up what should be a very fun Friday night show.

And since we have a private event this weekend, the Men show wrap up our week. Get here while you can!
