The first of two CU/NU games at TD Park is tonight! Looking forward to a beautiful afternoon on the patio and some pre-and-post game beers. Speaking of, we’ll have the usual Happy Hour from 4-7pm and then $3 Bud and Bud Light Tall Boys all night long. Come on down!

Very busy week ahead. One slight bummer to kick it off, with the Foxy Shazam show not happening, but do not fret. Not only has it been rescheduled for June 19 at The Waiting Room, but we will have $2 Pints of all of our tap beers tonight instead…come on down and drown your sorrows!

The rest of the week looks about as busy and fun as it gets: two sold out shows with FUN. and Sleigh Bells, the Revival tour with Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music) and Tommy Gabel (Against Me!), Abandon Kansas, a benefit for our friends at Omaha Girls Rock, and a 9 band bill to round it all out on Sunday. Big Gigantic closed out their recent tour here on March 4. Check out this video that the folks at Yimbo Slice shot to capture the memories. It’s awesome.

Five nights of shows and a Pub Quiz this week. We’ll call that busy! The Heligoats and Touch People kick the week off tonight, and the Slowdown debut of G. Love & Special Sauce continues the fun on Tuesday. Hot tip: picking up a ticket for G. Love on Monday will save you 5 bucks!

It’s a busy week for the neighborhood as well, with the NCAA basketball tournament and the surrounding madness coming into town. We’ll kick off the weekend early with Satchel Grande and Funk Trek on Thursday. On Friday, we’ll open up a bit early for a 3-7pm Happy Hour…join us before and after the games, and then for The Lizard King (The Doors covers, great) and more at 9pm!

And one final note on our final show of the week…tickets for Matt Nathanon will almost certainly sell out before Saturday. Ye hath been warned…

It’s almost March, which means Spring is close and the the shows are getting more frequent. All good things. Just this week we have Crocodiles, Session 7, and then Main Room shows with Cursive and Big Gigantic. It’s going to be a big gigantic weekend!

Also coming up this weekend is the onsale for Sleigh Bells. It would be a good idea to pick up an advance ticket for that one. Fair warning. In fact, it would be a good idea to pick up a ticket to either of the shows you want to check out this weekend…wouldn’t want anyone to get FUN.’d! You’re always better safe than sorry.
