Barack Rally w/ Bright Eyes and M. Ward
it’s true. there will be a barack obama rally here thursday night w/ musical performances from Bright Eyes, M. Ward, Jim Ward of Sparta, and Secret Life of Sparrows. the bands will start at 8. doors at 7. the event is 18+ as it is a rally to get people out to vote in the nebraska caucus saturday. sorry to all of you under 18 year olds that are not allowed to vote. the event is also FREE, but you have to have a ticket to get in.
barack’s people will be giving away tickets at Slowdown starting at 4:30 PM today – Tuesday, Feb 5th. you must either register to vote or sign a pledge card in order to get a ticket. there is a 2 tickets/person max and the ticket does not guarantee admission to the event thursday night. we are giving away a few extra tickets to make sure the rally is full. we don’t want people picking up free tickets and then not coming. don’t let it scare you though, we aren’t giving away THAT many tickets. i’ll just say that if you get a ticket you have a pretty good chance of getting in.
we’ll update the site when all the tickets are gone. until then, come down here anytime after 4:30 today to pick up a pair.
